A one stop centre for resources in Women and Health. In 2001 we started resource collection. Our team visited over 120 organisations all over Maharashtra working on the issues of women and health. During these visits the resources used by the organization were collected. This included their own productions as well as resources prepared by others. An effort was made to contact smaller and not very 'popular' organizations and see what resources they have developed or are using. The collection was done over the period of two years. Information about the organization was also collected.
The resources include posters, flip-charts, flashcards, training material, like puppet shows, slide shows, video cassettes, games, training manuals, skits for role-plays, songs, etc. These were evaluated and finally only those resources that were simple, easy to use with proper guidelines, gender sensitive or that did not show women as lesser then men, secular in nature meaning not promoting majoritarion views were selected.
This was all consolidated into a Resource Directory 2005 (now updated) which is available for sale at Tathapi.
